Wright chooses Miami over USC, UT

By Bill Hodge
CollegeSports.com

Considered the nation's top quarterback prospect, Kyle Wright of Danville-Monte Vista, Calif., has committed to Miami (Fla.) over the USC Trojans and Tennessee.

Wright, who passed for 3,100 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior, also considered Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma and Texas, among many others. "It was so hard to differentiate between the programs," Wright said. "It kind of came down to the school and where I felt the most comfortable. I liked all the coaches, but it came down to who would make me the best player and person. All those factors went into it."

Analyst Tom Lemming and Wright appeared on ESPN.com chat as the quarterback answered questions and announced his choice.
