Top 150 offensive lineman Tripp Carroll of Jacksonville-Andrew Jackson, Fla., has chosen Virginia Tech over Clemson, Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), North Carolina, North Carolina State and South Carolina, among many others. The Hokies also added running back Joey Razzano of Milford, Ohio, over Mississippi; and tight end John Kinzer of Fairfax-Robinson, Va., over Virginia, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Syracuse. T.C. Ostrander, a Top 150 quarterback from Atherton/Menlo-Atherton, Calif., has chosen Stanford over Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas State, Oregon and Oregon State.
One of the nation's top quarterback prospects, Andre Woodson of Radcliffe-North Hardin, Ky., has committed to Kentucky over Louisville, West Virginia and Penn State. More Football News:
Michigan has a commitment from kicker Garrett Rivas of Tampa-Jesuit, Fla. The Wolverines recently gained a pledge from running back/defensive back Anton Campbell of O'Fallon-Fort Zumwalt West, Mo., over offers from Michigan State, Illinois, Missouri and Northern Illinois. He rushed for 1534 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior.
California has a soft commitment from linebacker/running back Chris Henry of Stockton-Edison, Calif. West Virginia has a commitment from tight end Chris Bassler of Union Bridge-Francis Scott Key, Md. He caught 21 passes for 375 yards and two touchdowns as a junior. Offensive lineman Marcus Cohen of Clarksdale, Miss., committed to Mississippi. Among others were Alabama, LSU, Memphis, Mississippi State, Clemson and Southern Mississippi. Offensive lineman Travis Draper of Paso Robles, Calif., committed to the USC Trojans over UCLA, Washington, Washington State and Fresno State. Colorado and Nebraska also showed interest. Class 2003:

Marquette pledged outstanding guard Brandon Bell of Flint-Southwestern Academy, Mich., over interest from Butler, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Rutgers, Boston College, Detroit and Arizona, among others. Guard Jamon Gordon of Jacksonville-Andrew Jackson, Fla., committed to Virginia Tech.
Sophomore forward Darrio Scott of Lynchburg, Va., is transferring from George Washington to Middle Tennessee State for this upcoming season. Forward Nate Daniels of Escondido, Calif./Fitchburg-Notre Dame Prep, Mass./Fresno State/Broward CC, Fla., committed to Louisville. He averaged 30.8 points last season for Broward and was the second highest scorer among NJCAA Division-1 programs. Nebraska pledged guard Quinton Day of Kansas City-Paseo Academy, Mo. Guards Kenneth Kelly of Dallas-Carter, Texas, and Brett McDade of Denton-Ryan, Texas, committed to Tulsa. Southern Illinois pledged guard Jamaal Tatum of Jefferson City-Helias, Mo. Evansville has a commitment from guard Kyle Anslinger of Evansville-Reitz, Ind., who averaged 15 points as a junior. Delaware pledged forward Herbie Courtney of Horsham/Hatoro-Horsham, Pa. Guard Ryan Wall of Coppell, Texas, committed to New Mexico over Wichita State, Pepperdine, Cal-Riverside and Utah State. Redshirt sophomore center/forward Jason Parker of Charlotte-West Charlotte, N.C./Fork Union Military Academy, Va., has been dismissed by Kentucky for violating team policy. Sophomore guard Tom McLaughlin of Andover, Mass., has transferred from Princeton to William & Mary. He will redshirt this upcoming season and have three years remaining. Sophomore guard Antonio Johnson of Virginia Beach-Salem, Va., has transferred from Northeastern to Mt. St. Mary's. He will redshirt this upcoming season and have three years remaining. Class 2003:
