The Oklahoma Sooners have added one of the nation's top passing prospects, while California now has four Top 100 basketball prospects.
Top 150 quarterback, Tommy Grady of Huntington Beach-Edison, Calif., has chosen Oklahoma over Florida State, Florida, LSU, Miami (Fla.), UCLA and USC, among many others. He passed for 2,750 yards and 33 touchdowns as a junior.
More Football News: Boston College has a pledge from promising defensive lineman Nick Larkin of Cincinnati-St. Xavier, Ohio, over Virginia. Among others were Maryland, Pittsburgh, South Carolina and Wake Forest. Rutgers pledged offensive lineman Haines Holloway of Camden-Wilson, N.J./Hargrave Military Academy, Va., who originally picked Rutgers in Class 2002.
Kansas State gained a pledge from receiver Toney Coleman of Arlington-Mansfield, Texas.
San Diego State added transfer tight end Adam Watson of Temecula, Calif./Arkansas State for this upcoming season. He will redshirt and have three years remaining.

Guard Adam Liberty of Oklahoma City-John Marshall, Okla., has committed to Wichita State.
Junior forward Jack Ingram of San Antonio-Marshall, Tex., has transferred from Tulsa to Illinois as a walk-on. He will redshirt this upcoming season and have two years remaining. Guard Vern Hamilton of Richmond-Benedictine, Va., has chosen Clemson over Utah, Colorado, West Virginia, Florida State and Richmond, among others.
Starting senior guard DeShaun Williams of Paterson, N.J., has transferred from Syracuse to Iona. He will redshirt this upcoming season as a walk-on before going on scholarship for 2003-04.
Guard Greg Brown of Milwaukee-Vincent, Wis./Indian Hills CC, Iowa, committed to Miami (Fla.) for Class 2003. Forward Gary Hamilton of Los Angeles-Crenshaw/Dorsey, Calif., is headed to the Canes for the upcoming season.
Illinois State gained a commitment from forward Mike Sams of Mt. Zion, Ill., over Eastern Illinois.
Forward Ramon Dyer of Jackson, La., has signed with Houston for the upcoming season.
Forward DeMarshay Johnson of Oakland-Tech, Calif./Christian Faith Center, N.C., is headed to Nevada. He once committed to Oregon State.
Akron pledged guard Dru Joyce of Akron-St. Vincent-St. Mary's, Ohio.
Miami (Ohio) gained a commitment from forward Nathan Peavy of Dayton/Chaminade-Julienne, Ohio.
Eastern Michigan has a commitment from forward Craig Cashen of Cincinnati-St. Xavier, Ohio.
Wyoming gained forward Mory Correa of Fontenay LeFleury-St. Germain, France/Pratt CC, Kan., for this upcoming season over Cleveland State and Buffalo. Correa had signed with Oklahoma State in Class 2002, but was not admitted. Class 2003:

Ninety-six prospects verballed or signed from the Class 2002 Top 100 List. Uncommitted Top 100 prospects (4): Forward Leonard Cooke of Old Tappan-Northern Valley Regional, N.J. (NBA, not drafted); center/forward Amare Stoudemire of Orlando-Cypress Creek, Fla. (NBA, first round to Phoenix); forward/center DeAngelo Collins of Inglewood, Calif. (NBA, not drafted); and center Sani Ibrahim of Oak Hill Academy, Va. (Junior College).

Duke-bound J.J. Redick led the East past West, 138-107, in the 2002 McDonald's All-American Game at Madison Square Garden in New York. (Stories/Rosters for 2002, 2001, 2000).
The NBA selected only one high school and a single junior college prospect during the 2002 draft: Center/forward Amare Stoudemire of Orlando-Cypress Creek, Fla., was taken 9th in the first round by Phoenix, while Portland took forward Qyntel Woods of Northeast Mississippi CC, Miss., at No. 21 in the first round. Sending a message to inexperienced hopefuls, the NBA passed on three other high school/prep school prospects and seven junior college players (List). Last season, five of the six high school players who declared for the draft were selected, with Kwame Brown, Tyson Chandler, Eddy Curry and DeSagana Diop being taken among the first eight picks.
