ESPN.com launches unique 3Play game

Free, Multi-Sport Game Has Sports Fans Asking "Who'd You Get?"

ESPN.com, part of GO.com (NYSE:GO), has introduced ESPN.com 3Play Presented by 1 800 CALL ATT Collect, a game featuring on-the-field sports competition in a free, fun and compelling format that will also dole out more than $300,000 in cash prizes this month. ESPN.com 3Play Presented by 1 800 CALL ATT Collect is an interactive, multi-sport game whose players compete for daily and weekly prizes, not to mention bragging rights, by simply logging on to ESPN.com and finding out "Who They Got."

When fans log on to play on ESPN.com each day, an ESPN.com 3Play game card appears depicting three randomly selected in-season athletes and the categories in which they'll accumulate ESPN.com 3Play points for users. Each of the three athletes has between one and three statistics for the day. Listed next to the statistics is how many ESPN.com 3Play points are generated for each occurrence. The high scorers for a day are athletes who go the farthest above and beyond their normal production. For example, if a relatively unknown player and Shaquille O'Neal each score 35 points one night, the person who drew the lesser known player would accumulate more points than he or she who drew O'Neal.

New player cards and point values are randomly dealt out to participants each day. Fans accumulating the highest daily and weekly scores receive cash prizes of as much as $5,000 per day and $100,000 per week. "All types of sports followers, from the casual fan to the die-hard fanatic, will have fun as they make ESPN.com 3Play a part of their daily ritual," said John Skipper, senior vice president of general manager at ESPN Internet Group. "It's a fun and easy way to interact with sports, friends and fellow ESPN.com users every day."
