Official Dick Vitale site launches with exclusive analysis, chat, postcards from the road.

November 7, 2000- The official Dick Vitale Web site (http://www.espn.go.com/dickvitale/index2.html), boasting exclusive columns and analysis, video and audio highlights, chats, text and audio postcards from the road and more, has launched, giving hoops fans "all things V" from arguably the nation's most recognizable college basketball analyst. The site is produced by ESPN Internet Group, part of Walt Disney Internet Group (NYSE:DIG), and can also be accessed via ESPN.com.

Vitale's site is the fifth such service dedicated solely to an ESPN analyst, following on the heels of Dan Patrick, Peter Gammons (MLB), Chris Mortensen (NFL) and Mel Kiper (football). "It is so exciting to be part of the diversity of ESPN, especially being able to share ideas directly with all the beautiful fans," said Vitale.

  • Columns -- weekly columns on topical subjects;
  • V-Mail -- a forum in which Vitale answers selected fan e-mail;
