Here are your responses to last week's Page 2 Power Poll:

As every Philadelphia fan jumps on and off the local sports bandwagon, bashing the Philly sports teams right now is fine. Where were you guys when the Phillies were in first, Sixers go to the finals in who knows how long, Flyers, as usual, go to the playoffs (but blow it ... pretty routine), and Eagles make it to the conference championship?
Thadea
Philadelphia

Thank the Lord somebody outside the city limits of Philly thinks this way. The Charge are the only pro sports team in Philadelphia worth anything right now, and unlike the Flyers, they can put the biscuit in the basket. Unlike the Eagles, they can draft their butts off and have everybody contribute meaningfully to their roster. Unlike the Sixers, they can actually play defense. And unlike the Phillies, they can do great things on the pitch, as the Phillies can't pitch to save their lives. And the local sports talk station refuses to even acknowledge the Charge's existence.

What a city I live in ...
Paul Hanlin Jr (Philadelphia Charge season ticket holder)
Philadelphia

To stick up for Philly sports, how can you possibly call them weaklings when they have 3 of the 4 teams which are considered playoff contenders. When was the last time anybody from Atlanta not named the Braves made some noise?

OK, the Flyers were a disappointment though.

Thanks for finally respecting the Sox. I was at Derek Lowe's no-hitter, and it was amazing.

Thanks again for the respect the Sox deserve!

What's the deal with the Boston Red Sox at No. 3? OK, so they're having a good start -- who cares!? It's a loooooong season and until they prove they can win -- or even get to a World Series -- they should not even be in the top 10. Move up some proven winners, such as the Red Wings or even the Mavs -- at least they're advancing in the playoffs.

I would now like to commend you on your selection of the Arsenal -- who would have thought you guys watched soccer.

Booooooo for putting in all of Philly sports. At least the Eagles are looking poised for a run -- just as long as they forget about the Jeremiah Trotter mess, and they find a running back to replace Correll Buckhalter.

But the real reason I'm writing is not for boos but cheers; Did I really see a European soccer team in the top 10?????? And another one receiving votes??? Props for including Arsenal and Real Madrid, although I'm an AS Roma fan myself, which is gunning this weekend for the second consecutive Italian championship.

With the World Cup around the corner, it would be nice to see if Americans will get into it, especially since this is probably the most talented US team (from players to staff to coaches) since the 40 year hiatus was ended in Italy in 1990.
Conrad Benedetto
Philadelphia

Bravo for putting Arsenal on the list. This weekend they play for the F.A. Cup and then can clinch the Premiership with a win next Wednesday at Manchester United.

They haven't lost on the road once this year in league competition and have scored in all 36 league games so far this year!

Glad to see you've noticed the Gunners' surge in form. I hope you'll do the right thing and place them near the top next week after they trounce Chelsea in the F.A. Cup final and embarrass ManUre by winning the league on their home soil!

Thanks for including some soccer teams in the Power Poll. It is nice to see something besides football, basketball, baseball, or hockey (although I love these sports).

The Poll should check out the World Rally Championship. These people are crazy.

Arsenal should be ranked higher. They haven't lost a single game on the road this season, have scored in every game they've played and are shooting for two trophies now. Plus they're sending quite a few players to the World Cup this summer.

Excellent job, Page 2, excellent research. It's about time Arsenal made its way up on the Power Poll. Glad to know some people still care about soccer.

Thank you for finally recognizing the genius that is Arsenal football club. Mentioning that is a serious entry in the "impressing the at least 5 billion people in the world who have no idea about A-Rod's salary sweepstakes."

Thank you for the recognition of Arsenal in the top 10. Also, Arsenal is poised to set several other records as it attempts to be the only team in 100 years to go undefeated on the road. The Gunners have also scored in more consecutive games than any other top-flight club.

I congratulate on recognizing Arsenal FC in your poll. As an Arsenal fan from San Francisco, I always wait, usually in vain, for some shred of coverage of my team on America media outlets. This shows everyone why ESPN knows sporting excellence, period. It does not matter whether it is by an American team or not.

Thanks.

Hey, I think it's great that you included Arsenal in you top 10. Obviously, soccer, especially Brit Premier League, doesn't get the exposure it deserves.

Hopefully, Americans will tune into the World Cup this year because I think they'll find that soccer is one of the greatest spectator sports in the world and is a little exposure away from being one of the major sport attractions in the United States.

I think that the Sacramento Kings should be in the weakest group. They struggled to beat the "old" Utah Jazz. They are lucky they didn't get knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. In addition to that, they are on their way down because they are going to be knocked out of the playoffs soon enough by the Lakers.
Steven Henry

The Dallas Mavericks have what it takes to beat the vaunted Los Angeles Lakers if they play to form each and every night. They can match up with the Laker Girls at every position except with Shaquille O'Neal at center. But on that point, they have the depth with big guys to play "hack a Shaq" and make Shaq beat them at the line.

I also think you need to add the Sacramento Kings to your list. They did a hell of a job with a playoff veteran team in the Utah Jazz. I think they are going to give the Mavericks a real run for their money.

Although I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan, they are spiraling downward and the injuries are piling up. B.J. Surhoff, Gary Sheffield, Chipper Jones, Javy Lopez were all injured at the same time against the Astros and the sign that the apocalypse is near as Greg Maddux went on the DL, not to mention starters Albie Lopez and Jason Marquis.

I take it that the reason the Chicago Cubs aren't on your bottom five is because they are in the negative numbers. They have absolutely got to be the biggest disappointment in baseball this year.
Jerry Love III

Damn, it is sure nice to see Los Angeles sports on top again, Because I'm getting tired of all these Diamondbacks fans' talk. Yeah, they won the World Series, but how would they react to a losing season? I think they would all turn there backs, like they did with every other major sporting team in Phoenix.

They haven't even begun to be true baseball fans. Spoiled brats.

Where is the Mets pitching staff? All winter we heard how great the offense would be, but it's the pitching that has them in first place.
Adam Chordock

I am a longtime Milwaukee Brewers fan. The only thing I have to say about being at the bottom of the Power Poll: Damn Right!

Please, MLB, let us have real revenue sharing and a salary cap! Let baseball have some dignity that it hasn't had since it sold out for spiraling salaries, expansion and juiced balls.
Uriah J. Friedl
Grand Rapids, Mich.

Instant karma. Bud Selig deserves everything he gets for trying to destroy baseball. I guess he hasn't heard the one about not rocking the boat you're sitting in. Nothing but greed.

And, yes, Michael Schumacher is amazing. But if Ayrton Senna was still with us Schumacher would still only win one or two races a year.

Schumi definitely belongs in front of the Lakers. What he's doing is stuff of legend. Arguably the best driver in motorsport history.

Don't think the Lakers can claim that lofty position just yet.
Rich
Atlanta

I totally agree with your placement of the NHL in the bottom five, despite the fact that I am a huge hockey fan. I think, though, that we could really lump professional sports as a whole into that category. It seems like it's not about the game anymore in any of the major sports.

We hear too much about money and controversy. Can we please just watch sports for the sake of competition and high levels of play?
Kirsten
Chicago

Here we go again with comments on the NHL and its hits in the playoffs. I'm so frustrated with people who just bash the league about mostly just clean hits and not the great games being played at playoff time.

I have to say go see an NBA playoff game, and tell me which one is better to watch?
Brandon

How could you possibly overlook the Canadiens and their upset of Boston?! The No. 1 seed taken down by the No. 8 seed; Saku Koivu's comeback; overcoming the loss of Richard Zednik, the league's top postseason scorer; Jose Theodore's inspired play?

I mean, come on, the list is endless and you don't even mention it -- I'm a big Page 2 fan, but unbelievably disappointed right now! I hope someone wakes up and rights this wrong.

I think the Canadian hockey teams should be up there, because when's the last time they've overpowered the NHL playoffs?
