Get out the "retro" jerseys because eight of the 10 starters in the championship game of ESPN's Silver Anniversary tournament played in the 1980's. And three of the players, Jordan, Ewing and Mullin were teammates on the 1984 Gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic basketball team.

Everyone expects Jordan to get his points for the ACC, and he will. His defense will be important also, in shutting down Ray Allen. Ewing will prove to be dominant inside against Sampson (they had a colossus made-for-TV match-up in December of 1982.)  Laettner and Coleman will play to a draw at the power forward spot. Mullin and Mark Price will trade long-range jump shots.

The difference-maker in this game and the reason the ACC will prevail will be Lenny Bias, the two-time ACC Player of the Year. Bias was, to some, the conference's most exciting player ever. In my mind, he was in the top three with Jordan and N.C. State's David Thompson. Both Chris Mullin and Ray Allen will have a difficult time defending the high-flying former Maryland Terrapin, and SportsCenter should have plenty of highlight footage of him.
