Tuesday, September 19 No three-peat for Kim
Associated Press
SYDNEY, Australia -- Kim Dong-moon's quest for a third
Olympic badminton gold ended two victories short of the mark.
Kim and partner Ha Tae-kwon lost to the world's top-ranked duo,
Tony Gunawan and Candra Wijaya of Indonesia, 15-3, 15-10 in the
men's doubles semifinals Wednesday (Tuesday night ET).
Kim became a national hero when he won a gold in men's doubles
as the sport made its Olympic debut in Barcelona in 1992. He added
a second in mixed doubles in Atlanta four years ago.
