The Bures, who lead their teams in scoring, will become the first brothers to appear as teammates in the All-Star game since 1983, when Peter and Marian Stastny played for the Wales Conference.

Pavel Bure has 28 goals and 20 assists and is the NHL's second-leading goal-scorer. Valeri has 20 goals and 21 assists, and is only 12 points shy of his single-season career high.

Joining the Bures among the 19 World All-Star additions are four forwards who also lead their clubs in scoring: Miroslav Satan of Buffalo, Martin Rucinsky of Montreal, Mariusz Czerkawski of the New York Islanders and Radek Bonk of Ottawa.

Colorado will have three World team players, the most of any club, as forwards Peter Forsberg and Milan Hejduk will join starting defenseman Sandis Ozolinsh.

Buffalo, with Satan and starting goalie Dominik Hasek, has two players on the World team, as do Florida, with Bure and forward Viktor Kozlov, and Toronto, with defenseman Dimitri Yushkevich joining starting center Mats Sundin.

Others chosen to the World team roster Wednesday were goaltenders Olaf Kolzig of Washington and Tommy Salo of Edmonton; defensemen Petr Buzek of Atlanta, Teppo Numminen of Phoenix, Petr Svoboda of Tampa Bay, Kimmo Timonen of Nashville, and Sergei Zubov of Dallas; and forwards Pavol Demitra of St. Louis and Sami Kapanen of Carolina.

Previously selected as starters by the fans were Hasek; defensemen Nicklas Lidstrom of Detroit and Ozolinsh; Sundin; and wings Jaromir Jagr of Pittsburgh and Teemu Selanne of Anaheim.
