DALLAS -- The Dallas Stars on Saturday acquired the 34th overall pick in the 2002 NHL entry draft from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Brad Lukowich and a seventh-round pick in 2003.

Lukowich appeared in 66 games with Dallas last season, recording one goal, six assists and 40 penalty minutes. He had been with the Stars since 1997.

The Stars used the No. 34. pick to take Tobias Stephan, a goaltender from Switzerland.
