CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -- Winning in overtime is becoming routine for the Calgary Flames.

Cory Stillman scored at 2:05 of overtime to give the Calgary Flames a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night.

Calgary, which has an NHL-high six overtime victories this season, extended its season-high winning streak to three games.

Stillman's goal, which came just five seconds after Chicago had killed off a penalty to Anders Eriksson, was the result of a couple lucky bounces.

"Some nights that would have hit my skate and stayed out," said Stillman. "But tonight it went in and hopefully that's a sign that things are turning around for us."

Phil Housley's shot from the blue line deflected off Jeff Shantz's skate to the front of the net where it hit Stillman's skate and slipped past goaltender Jocelyn Thibault.

Marc Savard also scored for the Flames, who now depart on a six-game road trip beginning in Denver on Saturday night where Peter Forsberg is expected to make his season debut for the Colorado Avalanche.

Tony Amonte scored the lone goal for Chicago, which has two games left on a seven-game road trip.

"The way our luck is going, I'm not surprised how that one went in tonight," Amonte said. "But when you start down four-on-three, we got lucky to get by that."

Amonte gave Chicago a 1-0 lead at 14:11 of the second period when he cut in front of the Flames net and deflected a shot by Boris Mironov past Calgary goalie Fred Brathwaite. It was Amonte's 12th goal of the season, and it extended his point-scoring streak to eight games.

Calgary tied the game 93 seconds later when Andrei Nazarov worked the puck in front of the Chicago net to a wide-open Savard, who scored past a screened Thibault.

Thibault finished the night with 31 saves. Brathwaite made his fifth straight start ahead of Grant Fuhr and turned in another solid game with 19 saves.

"Freddie's given us a chance to win every night," said Housley. "In this game, you're going to have to rely on your goaltender to win hockey games."
