GAME UPDATE
BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Montreal Canadiens are the latest National Hockey League team stranded by the storm that dumped more than 20 inches of snow in parts of North Carolina on Tuesday. With the Canadiens still unable to get out of Raleigh, North Carolina, tonight's game in Boston against the Bruins has been postponed. It will be made up March 2 at 7 p.m. EST at the FleetCenter. Tonight's contest is the third NHL game to be postponed since Tuesday. The Carolina Hurricanes called off their home game against Phoenix that night and rescheduled it for this afternoon. The Coyotes, who defeated the Hurricanes, 4-2, today, also had Wednesday's meeting at Atlanta postponed until March 29. Ironically, the Canadiens were on the runway at the Raleigh-Durham airport following Monday night's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes, but were unable to take off. The Canadiens returned to their hotel and have remained in Raleigh for the past three days without their equipment, which remains on the plane. They have not been able to skate since Monday. Montreal's next game is at home against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
