Cards have speed at wideout By John Clayton ESPN.com |

Here are five observations from the Cardinals training camp: 1. The Cardinals' speed at the wide receiver position is even noticeable with their backups. Bryan Gilmore got the most out of NFL Europe and came back as a more polished speed receiver. The coaching staff likes fifth-round choice Jason McCaddley, whom the Cardinals coached in the Senior Bowl. He, too, has speed. 2. Kwamie Lassiter established himself as a Pro Bowl-caliber free safety last year and was designated the team's franchise player to prevent him from leaving in free agency. Meanwhile, second-year strong safety Adrian Wilson looks as though he has a chance to be one of the better safeties in the NFC.
4. It looks as though it will only be a matter of time before Levar Fisher will beat out Ray Thompson for the left outside linebacker job. Fisher, a 233-pound second-round choice, has the type of speed that the Cardinals are emphasizing on defense. 5. Quarterback Jake Plummer looks buffed, if that's possible. He's done more lifting. In fact, he's worked out a lot with wide receiver David Boston, who's a 237-pound freak for his speed and strength. What's most noticeable is how much stronger Plummer is with this throws.
