Question of the Day: Thoughts on XFL?

ESPN.com

HONOLULU -- The day before the NFL's season concludes with the Pro Bowl on Sunday, the XFL's season officially kicks off on Saturday. ESPN.com asked some of the Pro Bowl selections their thoughts on the sporting world's newest football league.

What do you think about the XFL?

Ruben Brown
"I'm interested in seeing what's going to happen. But until you see it, you're kind of wondering what it'll actually be like. It sounds like it's going to be interesting."
Jevon Kearse
"I think you're going to see some big hits. You're going to see some SportsCenter (highlight) type of hits every other play. It'll be the low-budget NFL with guys trying to make a name for themselves. I think it'll be fun."
Ray Lewis
"I don't know. I haven't even looked into it that much. But it's going to be wild. It'll be something to sit down and watch."
Kevin Mawae
"It's going to be no-holds-barred kind of football. I think the guys here are looking forward to it and seeing what it's going to be all about. I have some teammates that were with us in New York that were drafted. Whether they made the teams or not, I don't know, but I'll be watching Saturday to see if any of them are playing."
Trevor Pryce
"It's entertainment. They've got a team in Vegas. That's about the best thing they've got going on right now. I don't expect our level of play, but they're probably better than college players. Florida State might be able to beat all of them, but Florida State has a team full of pros anyway."
Jason Taylor
"I don't know. It'll be something for me to watch during the offseason. It sucks not having any football on. We'll have some football to watch, but they can't compete with us. We're the best players in the world. The best players play in the NFL."
Ted Washington
"I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out. It'll be different. The rules are different. There'll be a lot more stuff happening (outside of the action) than what we do in the NFL. I just want to see how it works out."
