There have been few Super Bowls which needed the obligatory pregame hype as much as this year's meeting between the Giants and Ravens. New York and Baltimore feature two of the lowest-scoring offenses ever to reach the Super Bowl, and both teams are built around stingy defenses. This figures to add up to one of the lowest-scoring Super Bowl games in history.
But does that mean the game will lack excitement? The table below lists the yards per game, yards allowed per game, points per game and points per game allowed for each Super Bowl team, and the final score and television rating for each game. You decide what the numbers say about determining an exciting Super Bowl.
