Stoops: I'm not talking to anybody

Associated Press

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has turned down a request to interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Stoops, a former defensive coordinator at Florida who still has ties to the area, was contacted by owner Wayne Weaver, but said he had no interest in the job, team spokesman Dan Edwards said.

After Oklahoma's victory in the Rose Bowl last week, Stoops got annoyed when asked if he would pursue other jobs.

"I'm not talking to anybody about anything, period,'' Stoops said.

The Jaguars have confirmed interviewing former Vikings coach Dennis Green for the vacancy created when Weaver fired Tom Coughlin. They have not confirmed any other interviews with coaches, although Weaver has said the interview process is ongoing.
