Anderson wonders what Dunn signing means for him

ESPN.com news services

Running back Jamal Anderson, who was in Las Vegas on Friday when the Falcons announced the signing of Warrick Dunn, said he wants answers to what the team's plans are for him and what Dunn's signing means when he returns to Atlanta on Monday.

"Those questions will definitely be asked the moment I walk in that building," Anderson told ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli. "Somebody will have to answer to 'Jam.' "

Anderson said he was taking a wait-and-see approach and would not ask the team for a trade.

Falcons coach Dan Reeves said at Friday's news conference he plans on getting Dunn about 20 "touches" a game, which is higher than his career average.

Anderson also said he realizes he can't carry the ball as often as he did during the Falcons' Super Bowl season.

"I don't want to carry the ball 410 times in a season again, but I don't want to carry it just 10 times a game either," said Anderson.

"History shows, at least as long as I've been in the league, that you can't have two big paycheck running backs at the same time."
