Esiason Foundation office destroyed

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- The offices of the Boomer Esiason Foundation were destroyed in Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

None of the five employees were in the building at the time of the attack, Esiason said, and all are safe.

The foundation's offices were on the 101st floor at 1 World Trade Center, the second building hit by an airplane and the first to collapse Tuesday.

Esiason was in Denver after broadcasting the Monday night NFL game for CBS Radio Sports.

The former NFL quarterback created the foundation to support research and treatment of cystic fibrosis -- a deadly genetic disease afflicting Esiason's 10-year-old son.
