Redskins wide receiver Irving Fryar suffered a pinched nerve Sunday
against the Eagles and is expected to be out 2-3 weeks, coach Norv Turner
said.
Fryar remained at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and was expected to
have an MRI on his neck Monday night to confirm the pinched-nerve diagnosis.
Fryar took a shot to the helmet from safety Tim Hauck while attempting
to block in the Redskins' 17-14 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on
Sunday.
The 38-year-old receiver slowly walked off the field, then collapsed
on the sideline after the next play.
The game was stopped for several minutes while medical personnel
attended to Fryar. He left on a stretcher with his neck immobilized, but he
had movement in his arms and legs.
