JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville running back Fred Taylor will have an MRI exam Monday to determine if he further damaged the hamstring he reaggrravated in the first quarter the Jaguars' 6-3 victory over the Ravens on Sunday.

"I'm hoping it's just a sharp pain, nothing serious," Taylor
said. "The doctors are hoping it's just scar tissue. I'm hoping
it's just scar tissue. But I'll find out tomorrow."
Taylor fell awkwardly after taking a handoff. There was no contact on the play.
"I exploded out of my stance," Taylor said. "Probably four
steps into it, I felt a sharp pain in my leg. It was in about the
same spot, if not the exact same spot" as the previous injury.
Last month, the second-year player missed three games due to the
hamstring injury. Before that, he missed time with a sprained foot.
He has made it through just three complete games this season.
In those three games, the Jaguars have scored 112 points. In the six in which he has not played, or missed time, they have scored94.
In victories over Cincinnati and Atlanta the last two weeks, Taylor rushed for 128 and 124 yards.
The Jaguars had just 132 yards against the Ravens, the lowest
output in franchise history, but they refused to blame Taylor's
absence for their struggles.
"Our offensive philosophy has nothing to do with one
individual," coach Tom Coughlin said. "We're very frustrated that
happened, but that's not the reason we didn't move the ball. We
didn't block them and they knocked us on our butts. That's how to
explain what happened tonight."
