Carolina scored 21 points in the second quarter to take a 21-7 lead.	The Panthers' defense, which continues to rack up sacks -- four Sunday.	The Panthers have an issue at quarterback first. Rodney Peete has done a good job this season, but because of his age (38) he's not the long-term answer.

Betts (20 carries, 116 yards and a touchdown) and Kenny Watson (20 carries, 110 yards), who became Washington's first 100-yard duo since Keith Griffin (164) and George Rogers (124) on Nov. 3, 1985.	The Texans first priority should be securing their offensive line. Quarterback David Carr broke the record for sacks. You can't build an offense without a dominant offensive line.

Warrick Dunn scored on a 3-yard run with just less than four minutes left in the game to make it 29-15.	Quentin McCord. Entering the game with only one catch all season, McCord torched the Lions for seven catches for 182 yards and a TD.	The Lions need more than a new coach -- they need a GM who provides the personnel needed to rebuild a franchise.

They're like last year's Patriots. The Titans have no stars, no Pro Bowlers, but they've been winning as a team.

When Ryan Longwell kicked a 33-yard field goal in the second quarter. Those were the only points the Packers would need.	Vonnie Holliday. Playing inspired football less than 24 hours after his 16-year-old cousin died of a congenital heart defect, Holliday had five sacks and forced three fumbles.	I don't think the Packers' Super Bowl chances are looking good even with home-field advantage.

The Saints have been laying this egg on defense all season. Plus, QB Aaron Brooks might still be bothered by the injury he suffered earlier to his throwing arm.

He hauled in 10 passes for 204 yards and three TDs.	The Colts didn't play with any intensity. The defense we saw in Philly and in recent weeks was AWOL.

If Couch can continue progressing and the Browns can improve through a successful draft, they could challenge some of the AFC's best teams next year.

When the Seahawks knocked Marc Bulger out of the game after just four plays. Bulger is the only Rams QB to win a game this season.	Matt Hasselbeck, who continued his impressive play with 303 yards passing and one TD.	It will be difficult to fire Mike Holmgren. There have been enough problems with injuries that he should get at least another year to make it work before the sentiment turns against him.
