| By halftime, the Dolphins had 293 yards and two scores and the Bears had 37 yards and no scores. |
Ricky Williams. The Dolphins' running back had 216 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries. |
| UP NEXT: Dolphins (8-5) vs. Raiders (9-4) | Bears (3-10) vs. Jets (7-6) |
Titans 27, Colts 17

Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Joe Nedney kicked a 29-yard field goal with less than three minutes remaining to give the Titans a 10-point fourth-quarter lead. |
Steve McNair. The Titans QB played another solid game completing 19 of 23 passes for 237 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 49 yards. |
As long as Steve McNair, Eddie George and Derrick Mason are playing well, Tennessee is a formidable opponent. |
| UP NEXT: Colts (8-5) at Browns (7-6) | Titans (8-5) vs Patriots (8-5) |
Chiefs 49, Rams 10
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Priest Holmes scored his second touchdown of the second quarter as the Chiefs jumped out to a 35-10 halftime lead. |
Dante Hall. His 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter set the tone for the rest of the day. He also returned a punt 86 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. |
If (Priest) Holmes can carry the Chiefs to the playoffs, he would make a strong case for the MVP.
|
| UP NEXT: Rams (5-8) vs Panthers (5-8) | Chiefs (7-6) at Broncos (7-6) |
Patriots 27, Bills 17
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| The Patriots jumped out to a 17-0 first-quarter lead. |
Patriots defense. The Pats kept the high-octane Bills offense in check as they put pressure on Bledsoe, forcing four interceptions and a fumble. |
The Patriots are winning the way they won last season. It isn't pretty, but it works. |
| UP NEXT:Bills (6-7) vs Chargers (8-5) | Patriots (8-5) at Titans (8-5) |
49ers 31, Cowboys 27
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Terrell Owens caught an 8-yard touchdown pass with 12 seconds left in the game. The Cowboys blew a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter. |
Jeff Garcia. The Niners QB threw for 276 yards and three touchdowns and also led the team in rushing with 50 yards and another touchdown. |
Either Tai Streets or J.J. Stokes must step up to keep defenses from consistently double-teaming (Terrell) Owens. |
| UP NEXT: 49ers (9-4) vs Packers (10-3) | Cowboys (5-8) at Giants (7-6) |
Texans 24, Steelers 6
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Aaron Glenn scored the third of Houston's three defensive touchdowns to put the Texans up 24-6. |
Glenn. The Texans' offense produced only 47 total yards, but Glenn and the defense took care of business. Glenn returned two interceptions for a total of 135 yards, taking both to the house. |
I felt coach Bill Cowher brought Tommy Maddox back too early. The Steelers could have benefited by starting Kordell Stewart another week. |
| UP NEXT:Steelers (7-5-1) vs Panthers (5-8) | Texans (4-9) vs Ravens (6-7) |
Bucs 34, Falcons 10
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Brad Johnson threw three touchdowns in the second quarter giving the Bucs a 21-3 halftime lead. |
Derrick Brooks. The Bucs used Brooks to shadow Michael Vick and shut him down. Vick rushed for only 15 yards and Brooks was the main reason why. |
The Bucs played inspired football, led by their defense. When you do that in December, it gets you ready for the postseason. |
| UP NEXT: Falcons (8-4-1) vs Seahawks (4-9) | Bucs (10-3) at Lions (3-9) |
Giants 27, Redskins 21
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Patrick Ramsey's "Hail Mary" fell incomplete in the end zone as time expired. |
Cornelius Griffin. Griffin had three of the Giants' six sacks and forced a fumble. |
I'm a (Jim) Fassel fan. The Giants appear to be lacking more personnel than they thought they lacked heading into the season. |
| UP NEXT:Giants (7-6) vs Cowboys (5-8) | Redskins (5-8) at Eagles (10-3) |
Panthers 52, Bengals 31
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| The Panthers came alive for 36 second-half points. |
Rodney Peete. Sure it's the Bengals, but any time you throw for 319 yards and three touchdowns it's a good day. |
QB Jon Kitna and FB Lorenzo Neal don't appear to be quitting, but it seems like the rest of the Bengals are packing it in. |
| UP NEXT: Bengals (1-12) vs Jaguars (5-8) | Panthers (5-8) at Steelers (7-5-1) |
Browns 21, Jaguars 20
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Phil Dawson kicked the extra point with no time on the clock. Quincy Morgan caught a 50-yard pass from Tim Couch on the final play in regulation to steal the win. |
Morgan. The Browns wide receiver made only three catches all game but he made them count. He finished with 118 yards receiving and two touchdowns. |
To win the division, the Browns would likely have to win out and would still need help from one of the Steelers' opponents.
|
| UP NEXT: Browns (7-6) vs Colts (8-5) | Jaguars (3-10) at Bengals (1-12) |
Saints 37, Ravens 25
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Deuce McAllister scored the second of his three touchdowns on the day. This time it was from 3 yards out and gave the Saints a 27-7 lead. |
McAllister. Just another solid game for the Saints' running back. He finshed the day with 127 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries. |
The Ravens need a difference-maker on offense -- someone who presents a tough matchup, either at running back or wide receiver. |
| UP NEXT:Saints (9-4) vs Vikings (3-10) | Ravens (6-7) at Texans (4-9) |
Cardinals 23, Lions 20 (OT)
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Bill Gramatica booted a 43-yard field goal in overtime. |
Gramatica. He scored all his team's points in the second half and made all three of his field goal attempts. |
LB Chris Claiborne has proven he's a top-notch defensive player, and the Lions need more players who play up to his level. |
| UP NEXT:Lions (3-10) vs Bucs (10-3) | Cardinals (5-8) at Rams (5-8) |
Eagles 27, Seahawks 20
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| A.J. Feeley hit Todd Pinkston for a 20-yard touchdown, giving the Eagles a 27-6 third-quarter lead. |
Bobby Taylor. The Eagles cornerback picked off Matt Hasselbeck twice in the first half as the Eagles jumped out to a 20-6 halftime lead. |
The Seahawks have too many deficiencies on both sides of the ball, and Holmgren the GM is as responsible as Holmgren the coach for the team's troubles. |
| UP NEXT: Seahawks (4-9) at Falcons (8-4-1) | Eagles (10-3) vs Redskins (5-8) |
Raiders 27, Chargers 7
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Zack Crocket's 1-yard plunge cashed in on Drew Brees' third interception of the day and gave the Raiders a 20-7 third-quarter lead. |
Rich Gannon. The Raiders' MVP candidate completed 26 of 41 passes for 328 yards (his 10th 300-yard game) on a day when the ground game produced only 67 yards. |
The Raiders are the best team in the AFC right now. Offensively, they're hitting their stride, and the pressure the offense puts on opponents makes the job easier for the Raiders' D. |
| UP NEXT: Raiders (9-4) at Dolphins (7-5) | Chargers (8-5) at Bills (6-7) |
Jets 19, Broncos 13
RECAP | BOX SCORE |
| It was over when ... |
Game ball goes to ... |
Eric Allen's analysis |
| Jon McGraw intercepted Brian Griese on the Jets' 1-yard line with less than two minutes left in the game. The Jets ran out the clock from there. |
Laveranues Coles. The Jets speedster continues to shine with Chad Pennington at QB. Coles caught six passes for 126 yards and a touchdown. |
The Broncos lack a punishing, Terrell Davis-type runner. Clinton Portis has played well, but Davis ran hard and punished defenses when they tried to tackle him. |
| UP NEXT: Broncos (7-6) vs Chiefs (7-6) | Jets (7-6) at Bears (3-9) |
Packers 26, Vikings 22
RECAP | BOX SCORE |

Game ball goes to ... |
| When Darren Sharper kept running ... and running ... and running ... with his interception for Green Bay on the last play of the game. |
Brett Favre, who 22-for-32 for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He also engineered the fourth-quarter comeback to keep his home-game, cold-game record at 34-0. |
