Donovan McNabb hit Charles Johnson with an 11-yard touchdown pass to give the Eagles a 24-7 lead with just less than nine minutes remaining. |
Brian Mitchell. Mitchell's 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and 85-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach. Mitchell had a combined 290 yards, and his 11th touchdown on a return tied an NFL record. |

Colts kicker Mike Vanderjagt drilled a 45-yard field goal as time ran out to hand the Bills their second loss. |
Colts QB Peyton Manning. His numbers were down for him -- only 187 yards passing -- but he engineered two fourth-quarter scoring drives. |
The Bills were inside Indianapolis' 20-yard line three times and came away with three field goals. The Colts were in the red zone twice and scored two touchdowns. That was the difference. |

Daunte Culpepper hooked up with Randy Moss for two touchdowns in a span of 2:26 in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. |
Vikings' WR Moss. Who else? He caught three TD passes, tripling his season total, and finished with 168 yards receiving. |
The Lions' biggest problem was that they couldn't cover Randy Moss. One of the things the Vikings said they wanted to work on during the bye week was getting the ball to Moss, and they were certainly effective doing that. |

Tom Donahoe's analysis |
The Rams took a 30-10 lead into the half, and by the time Kurt Warner left in the third quarter, it was 40-17 and a done deal. |
Rams' QB Warner. A case can be made for Isaac Bruce, but Warner was 24-of-30 for 390 yards and four TDs. He is on pace to shatter Dan Marino's NFL-record 5,084-yard season. |
Against the Rams, one of the things you have to try to do is control the clock. But the Chargers did not run the ball nearly well enough to do that. |

The Steelers took a 17-6 lead at the half and made it hold up by stopping Mark Brunell on downs twice inside the Pittsburgh 20-yard line. |
Steelers RB Jerome Bettis. Looking like his old battering-ram self, Bettis plugged away for 97 yards on 28 carries. |
Though they came into the game winless, the Steelers dominated the game with an outstanding defensive effort. They held the Jags to 26 yards on 16 rushes. |

Browns fullback Marc Edwards fumbled the ball away in the Ravens' end zone in the first half, ending Cleveland's only scoring threat. |
Ravens kicker Matt Stover. The former Browns kicker was the only offense for either team, hitting field goals from 45, 30, 44 and 22 yards. |
The Browns were victimized by too many turnovers. Tim Couch moved the football in the air, but he threw three interceptions, which proved too difficult to overcome. |

Tom Donahoe's analysis |
The Titans scored touchdowns on three of their first four possessions and consumed so much of the clock -- 43 of the game's 60 minutes -- that the Giants couldn't retaliate. |
Titans QB Steve McNair. His line also deserves credit, but McNair passed for 293 yards and three TDs to pick up where he left off last week. |
This was Tennessee's best performance of the year. Steve McNair is back from his injury and he was very sharp. And Eddie George finally put up the type of numbers everybody has come to expect. |

Cowboys' kicker Tim Seder booted a 24-yard field goal in overtime. |
Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith. The beleagured runner enjoyed his first 100-yard rushing day of the season, going for 132 yards and a TD -- the 150th of his career. |
Defensively, Dallas has had a tough time this year stopping the run, but the Cowboys were able to stop Tim Biakabutuka (three fumbles, two lost) on this afternoon.

The Patriots decided to start fast, taking a 21-3 lead by halftime and keeping Denver without an offensive TD until 1:56 remained. |
Patriots QB Drew Bledsoe. Though Troy Brown had a big receiving day, Bledsoe fired four TD passes and gets the nod. |
The Patriots entered the game 0-4, but many thought they were the best 0-4 team in football. Denver controlled time of possession and did a good job defensing the rush, but the story of this game was Drew Bledsoe and New England's quick start.

The Cardinals, trailing 27-20, regained possession at their 19 with 17 seconds to play -- but David Boston dropped a long pass as time expired. |
Not Terrell Owens, who sat at home. Niners QB Jeff Garcia earns the praise for his 22-of-33 effort, including a TD pass and no interceptions. |
The 49ers have quietly been getting better each week. The coaching staff has been doing a good job with a roster that has 26 players with two years or less experience. Arizona is looking for answers. |

Dolphins QB Jay Feidler engineered a seven-play scoring drive, capped with a TD pass to Oronde Gadsden, for a 31-13 lead in the fourth quarter. |
Dolphins receiver Gadsden. He had two TD catches in which he outjumped his opponent. |
The Bengals were fired up and played aggressive football ... but give Miami credit for fighting back. A key play for the Dolphins was a sack by Jason Taylor right before the half where he stripped the football and ran it in for a touchdown. |

Bears DE Phillip Daniels knocked down Brett Favre as he released a fourth-down pass at midfield with 11 seconds left. |
Bears QB McNown. Yes, Marcus Robinson reappeared with two long TD catches, but McNown eluded pressure all day and made the big plays happen. |
The key in this game was the turnover situation. The Bears had no turnovers, but the Packers had three. And Cade McNown played flawlessly after five turnovers last week. |

Deion Sanders returned a punt 57 yards to set up the winning FG in overtime. |
Redskins RB Stephen Davis. He carried 28 times for 141 yards, getting nod over Marco Coleman, who had three sacks. |
When these teams met in the playoffs last year, it was a similar game but with a different outcome (a 14-13 Bucs win). The Redskins' defense was maligned last year, but they stepped up in this game. Marco Coleman (8 tackles, 3 sacks) is having an outstanding year. |
