Editor's note: Purdue forward Laura Meadows, a 6-foot-3 fifth-year senior who transferred from Kentucky in 2000, will share a diary with ESPN.com throughout the season. Feb. 26, 2002 We are little-kid-happy. It has been snowing for the past 24 hours, which has given us ample time to hurl snowballs and destroy disreputable snowmen. Z (Kelly Komara) and I even had the opportunity to begin training for our future snowboarding careers. We're totally stoked.
Oh, I also cut too small of a piece of net. Who knew that many snips produces such a tiny fraction? However, I am OK with all of this because I had the most pleasant case of insomnia that night as I replayed the season in my head. Since most of us spent the next few days sleeping or doing homework, I guess I don't have a lot left to report about last week. Everyone's just looking forward to the conference tournament, and hoping they get a roommate that shares their sleeping patterns, favorite TV shows, and who will let them have the first shower. (This last consideration is of vital importance to me, because a properly hot shower completes any and every day.) I'm rambling and hungry, which works out well for all of us. I'll quit writing (good for you), and go to training table (good for my hunger). Have a great week. Later. :) For more on Laura Meadows and the Boilermakers, visit Purdue's official athletic site. |
