2000-2001 outlook: Preseason All-American; among top three preseason candidates for Naismith Player of Year award.
1999-2000 stats to know: Became just the eighth freshman in 25 years to earn Kodak All-American honors; became first freshman to lead the SEC in scoring with a 21.0 average; broke school records for most free throws made (142) and attempted (281); Mississippi State freshman records for scoring average (21.0), most points (672), field-goal percentage (57 percent, 260-for-456) and blocks (32); scored in double-digits in all 32 games; recorded eight double-doubles; notched four 30-point games, including career-high 34 against Memphis (Nov. 30); scored at least 20 points in 18 games, including against Tennessee in SEC championship game (March 5); finished season ranked 12th nationally in scoring and 20th in field goal percentage.

Tennessee's Tamika Catchings.
5 Who's the one player, man or woman, you'd want to take one-on-one, and why?
Yolanda Griffith. I like her style of play.

Fresh Prince of Bel Air

9 What's something we don't know about you?
I'm the baby of the family (two brothers, ages 31 and 25, and one sister, who's 30).
10 If you weren't a basketball player, what would you be?
A movie star.
11 How did you get started playing basketball?
In the back yard with my brothers and their friends.
12 Why do you wear your jersey number?
It has been my number since junior high.
13 What's your favorite pre-game meal?
Steak and shrimp.
14 What's your favorite junk food?
Oreo cookies.
15 If you changed your name, what would you change it to?
Franchise.
16 If a movie was made about you, which actress would you like to see cast to play you?
Jada Pinkett.
17 What is the one thing you can't get through the day without?
My music.
18 If you were stuck on a deserted island, what's the only thing you'd take with you?
Food.
