LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The New Mexico State women's basketball coach is on administrative leave while school officials investigate "coaching management issues," a statement from the university said Saturday.
Coach Nikita Lowry was placed on paid leave by NMSU athletic director Brian Faison, according to the statement.
The investigation does not involve any violations of NCAA regulations, said NMSU sports information director Sean Johnson.
Interim coach Marlene Stollings led the team during Saturday's contest against Texas-El Paso, where the Aggies beat the Miners 74-59.
