Overview
Officials usually don't even have to turn on the shot clock for a Cyclones game. Iowa State, which beat Oklahoma in the Big 12 Conference championship game, moves the ball quickly and takes the first open look it gets. Quite often that's a 3-pointer. Iowa State has been among the national leaders all season with nine treys per game. Lindsey Wilson, Megan Taylor, Tracy Gahan and Erica Junod all shoot the 3-pointer well, creating obvious matchup problems. If you worry about the shooters too much, ISU can hurt you with All-American candidate Angie Welle in the paint. Even though they essentially play with four guards, they still have a plus-8 rebound advantage. The Cyclones' Achilles heel is depth. Coach Bill Fennelly usually only goes six or seven deep.

Player to Watch
Angie Welle, the Big 12 tournaent MVP, gives the Cyclones a solid presence inside on a team loaded with long-range shooters. Welle, a 6-foot-4 junior forward, averages 18 points and 10 rebounds a game and shoots 67 percent from the field.

Notable Numbers
Megan Taylor broke Iowa State's career scoring record and set two Big 12 tournament records in the conference final. Her 28 points, including six 3-pointes -- both records for the Big 12 title game -- gave her 1,819 career points. Coach Bill Fennelly, meanwhile, is the only Iowa State coach to turn in six consecutive winning seasons and owns the school's best winning percentage.
