Freshman center Carla Bennett leads the way; she collected a career-high 27 points and 19 rebounds in the tournament title game, a 70-67 victory over Southwest Missouri State. Bennett was named to the MVC All-Tournament team along with junior guard Kristin Santa, who tallied 17 points in the championship game, including five 3-point baskets.
