AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Tracy Cook and Stacy Stephens combined
for 24 points and 22 rebounds as 15th-ranked Texas snapped a
two-game losing streak with a convincing 64-43 Big 12 Conference
victory over Oklahoma State. The Lady Longhorns (14-4, 2-2 Big 12) were coming off losses at Missouri and Oklahoma and were clinging to a 27-25 halftime lead against the Cowgirls (8-7, 0-4) before using a breathtaking 23-3 run to settle matters. Cook had 12 points and 12 rebounds and Stephens added 12, including six during the decisive burst, and 10 boards as Texas kept Oklahoma State winless in Big 12 play. JoRuth Woods and Tai Dillard had 10 points apiece for the Lady Longhorns, who shot 41 percent (28-of-68) and held a whopping 51-27 advantage on the boards. Jessica Spinner led Oklahoma State with eight points as the Cowgirls suffered their fourth straight loss.
