RUSTON, La. (AP) -- No. 3 Louisiana Tech saved its best for Purdue (No. 12 ESPN/USA Today, No. 11 AP).

Tamicha Jackson scored 26 points, freshman reserve Catrina Frierson added 19 and Tech forced 25 turnovers Tuesday night in a 94-62 victory over the Boilermakers.

"It was by far our best home performance of the year. We've gone in spurts at home, but tonight we had a total performance," Tech coach Leon Barmore said.

The victory by Tech (7-1) snapped a two-game losing streak against Purdue (8-2), which ousted the Lady Techsters in the semifinals of last year's NCAA Tournament.

Tech seized a 48-29 halftime lead and made liberal use of substitutes thereafter, getting 42 points and 14 rebounds from its bench players.

"I thought what set the tempo for us was our defensive intensity and it got us going from there in the first half," Barmore said. "We wanted to stay up-tempo against them. We didn't want to get into a slowdown or a half-court game. We succeeded in doing that. We were up-tempo the entire game."

Betty Lennox added 14 points for Tech and another substitute, Takeisha Lewis, had 12.

Katie Douglas led Purdue with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Camille Cooper had 17 points and Shinika Parks 12.

The victory came against Barmore's former assistant, Kristy Sims-Curry, who left Tech after last season to take the Purdue job.

"Tech just played a great game," Sims-Curry said. "They had much more energy than we did."
