Kaayla Chones added 13 points and Tynesha Lewis had 11 points and 10 rebounds for N.C. State (10-0). The Wolfpack matched the program's best record to this point and remained the only NCAA Division I-A school whose men's and women's teams are undefeated.

Play was stopped with 17:05 left to go to mark Erb's breaking the 1,000-point career mark on a layup. She has 1,002 for her career.

New Hampshire reeled off a 16-2 run in the second half, but that served only to pull it within 51-33 after Erb's basket with 17:05 to play.

The Wolfpack overcame 26-of-65 shooting from the floor by outrebounding New Hampshire 49-32. N.C. State scored 22 second-chance points.

Erb, who finished with 17, scored six points in the Wolfpack's 11-0 run over the last 2:48 of the first half, putting N.C. State up by 30 at the break. N.C. State held New Hampshire to just one field goal in a 10-minute stretch of the first half.

The Wildcats spent most of the first half collapsing on Erb with little success. Six other Wolfpack players scored in an initial 16-2 run.
