COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Tasha Pointer and Christina Fowler scored 11 points apiece as seventh-ranked Rutgers used a big second-half run for its third straight victory, 46-35 over Ohio State. The Lady Knights (3-1) went on a 12-4 run to open the second half and build a 34-23 lead with 9:35 left. Pointer and Shawnetta Stewart each scored four points during that burst and the Buckeyes (2-2) got no closer than eight points thereafter. Rutgers shot 40 percent (10-of-25) in the second half and 37 percent (19-of-52) overall. It is the least number of points the Lady Knights have allowed since a 71-35 triumph over Massachusetts on January 9, 1992. Pointer grabbed 10 rebounds as the Lady Knights held a 39-25 advantage on the boards. Michaela Moua scored 12 points for Ohio State, which shot just 25 percent in the final 20 minutes and 30 percent (11-of-37) overall.
