LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Louisiana Tech has bounced back from a bad loss. Tamicha Jackson scored 22 points to lead No. 2 Louisiana Tech to an 84-47 victory over Weber State in the championship game of the Lady Rebel Shootout on Sunday. "It was very obvious we outdefended the opponent both nights," said Tech coach Leon Barmore, whose team lost 74-72 to Mississippi State on Monday night. "The biggest thing coming out of this tournament was that we got quality minutes from a number of players." Louisiana Tech (3-1) had 11 players score, while 13 players saw at least four minutes of action. Jackson had five assists and five steals as Louisiana Tech opened the game with a 26-4 run to build a 32-9 lead over Weber State (1-2). "I really felt rested and ready to go," Jackson said. "Coach Barmore told me he wanted me fresh for tonight and I was. Our quickness was simply too much for them. They weren't able to get into an offensive rhythm." Ayana Walker added 11 points for the Lady Techsters and Takeisha Lewis had 10. Shelly Olson led Weber State with 14 points. The Lady Techsters dominated the undersized Wildcats, outscoring Weber State 54-14 in the paint and held them to 32 percent shooting. Louisiana Tech got 18 fast-break points and limited Weber State to five. "Our defense was outstanding and it took them out of what they wanted to do," Barmore said. The Wildcats failed to score for the final four minutes of the first half and the first two minutes of the second half while Louisiana Tech rattled off 20 points to take a 58-16 lead. UNLV defeated Southeast Missouri 69-58 for third place. | ALSO SEE Womens College Basketball Scoreboard
