CANCUN, Mexico (Ticker) -- Tynesha Lewis scored 16 points and Kaayla Chones added 15 as ninth-ranked North Carolina State opened the Cancun Basketball Tournament with its fourth straight win, 62-42 over Drake.

Lewis shot just 6-of-16 from the floor but Chones was 5-of-8 as the Wolfpack (4-0) connected on 42 percent (22-of-53) of their field goals. All-American candidate Summer Erb grabbed nine rebounds, helping North Carolina State to a 40-28 advantage on the boards.

The Wolfpack outscored Drake, 33-21, in the second half despite shooting just 33 percent (9-of-27). They hit on 50 percent (13-of-26) in the first half to build a 29-21 lead.

North Carolina State also gained a decided edge at the foul line, hitting 17-of-27 attempts, while Drake (1-2) was just 2-of-3.

The Wolfpack battles Kansas State on Saturday in its final contest of the pre-determined tournament.

Stephanie Schmitz scored 12 points and Erin Richards added nine for Drake, which plays Alabama on Saturday.
