DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- Katie Douglas scored 31 points, including a short jumper in the final second, to lead Purdue (No. 19 ESPN/USA Today, No. 21 AP) to a 60-58 victory over Dayton on Friday night. Purdue held a 35-31 lead going into the second half and managed to stay ahead of Dayton until a 3-pointer by Shannon McFadden tied it at 54 with 2:55 remaining. Two free throws by Douglas gave Purdue the lead again, but Christi Hester hit both of her free throws to tie it with 1:20 left. Layups by Hester and Douglas tied the score again before Douglas made her game-winning shot. Kelly Komara added 10 points for Purdue.
