PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Notre Dame ran away from Pittsburgh.

Alicia Ratay scored 17 points to lead Notre Dame (No. 6 ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, No. 5 AP) to its 10th straight victory, 67-53 over Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

"We really got our fast break going and scored some easy baskets," Notre Dame coach Muffet McGraw said. "Our transition offense was key there."

Kelly Siemon added a season-high 14 points, including the basket that gave Notre Dame (14-2, 5-0 Big East) a 45-25 lead seven minutes into the second half. Center Ruth Riley had 12 points and 14 rebounds.

"Teams really key on Ruth in the middle," Siemon said. "That keeps me open and gives me chances to get the ball on the outside and drive or hit a jumper."

After Notre Dame pushed its lead to 20, the Panthers (11-6, 2-4) scored six unanswered points, but the Irish put together a 13-4 run and led by as many as 23 down the stretch.

Gina Montesano had 10 points for the Panthers, who have lost three straight following a five-game winning streak. Pittsburgh shot just 37 percent and was outrebounded 42-26.

"I felt as a team we were very non-aggressive on offense," Pittsburgh coach Traci Waites said. "I have never seen us so passive on offense."
