Certainly not by halftime, when most of these teams' encounters have been decided in years past. In fact, Iowa State held a 14-13 lead after 30 minutes. But alas, the Huskers rolled to five second-half TDs to take command by the end of the third quarter.Eric Crouch, who was nearly flawless in the second half and shook off a second-quarter interception that was returned for a Cyclones TD. Crouch completed all three of his pass attempts for 53 yards, while also rushing for 79 yards in the half to lead Nebraska on four of its final five scoring drives. Oct. 14 at Texas Tech

Matt Munyon pushed a 49-yard field, you guessed it, wide right. In a final two minutes that saw both teams score TDs to take the lead, Munyon supplied yet another ironic ending to this rivalry.Miami quarterback Ken Dorsey, who hit 6 of 7 passes on the Canes' final scoring drive, a march that ended with Dorsey finding backup tight end Jeremy Shockey with a 13-yard scoring pass with 46 seconds to go. Despite taking a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter, Tech found itself up by only eight in the third quarter.Freshman cornerback Eric Green, who made his first start count with two interceptions -- one in the end zone. Woodrow Dantzler picked up his final eight yards and a first down on third-and-4 with just over two minutes remaining, allowing the Tigers to then run out the clock and escape with their best start since 1987. It's hard to give game balls to players on losing teams, but State's Philip Rivers gets this one in defeat. Rivers upstaged Heisman-hopeful Woody Dantzler, completing 21 of 48 passes for 370 yards and three long TDs. Oct. 14 vs. Maryland

With 2:11 left, Dorsch missed a 32-yarder.Travis Dorsch, who after so much turmoil came through for the Boilermakers. Matt Wilhelm recovered one of Wisconsin quarterback Brooks Bollinger's three fumbles to end a drive at the Buckeyes' 25 in the third quarter. The Badgers were trying to answer Dan Stultz's field goal that gave Ohio State a 23-7 lead with 2:32 left in the third quarter. Derek Combs, who ran for two TDs, including the final 78 yards of an 80-yarder with only one shoe. Combs finished with 122 yards on just 11 carries.Ohio State: Oct. 14 vs. Minnesota

A pair of freshman making their first starts, quarterback Rex Grossman and wide receiver Jabar Gaffney, hooked up for the third time on a 59-yard touchdown and 24-3 lead in the third quarter.No question, the freshmen. Grossman finished 18 of 28 for 276 yards without throwing an interception. Gaffney caught eight passes from Grossman for 128 yards. Oh, and they hooked up for three TDs.Oct. 14 vs. Auburn

Hard to believe, but early in the second quarter when OU led 42-0 after scoring on its first five possession and returning an interception for a sixth TD.Quentin Griffin, who set a Oklahoma record with six touchdown runs. He didn't have to run very far to score 36 points, reaching the end zone twice on 1-yard runs, and the other four times on carries of 2, 3, 4 and 8 yards.Oklahoma: Oct. 14 at Kansas State

With its defense in command all afternoon, a 17-0 halftime lead looked safe. But turnovers in the second half helped the Tigers to get back into the game. Auburn had one last chance, taking over at its own 4 with 4:05 left, but couldn't get the ball past its 20 and Mississippi State ran out the clock. The MSU defense, which held Rudi Johnson to just 26 yards and the Tigers to only 164 overall. Johnson entered the game as the SEC's leading rusher, averaging 143.2 yards per game.Auburn: Oct. 14 at Florida

OK, it's the whimpy pick, but anyone who watched the Georgia defense stifle the Vols on a fourth and goal late in the game would vote for them as well. Damien Anderson went 15 yards for his fourth touchdown of the afternoon, giving the Wildcats a 45-21 lead in the fourth quarter. Damien Anderson. Northwestern is getting downright offensive and nobody is to blame more than Anderson, who ran for 292 yards against the Hoosiers to become the first Wildcat to rush for 200 yards in back-to-back games.Oct. 14 vs. Purdue

Not until Ryan Van Dyke's desperation pass from the Iowa 38 toward the back of the end zone failed to connect with Herb Haygood as time expired.When you snap a 13-game losing streak, every player has to play a part. So this ball goes in the Iowa team locker. Special mention goes out to Kevin Kasper who scored the game-winning touchdown on a 43-yard catch-and-run from Jon Beutjer. Kahlil Hill's 90-yard kickoff return for a TD was also big.Oct. 14 vs. Wisconsin
