While Dan Alexander was punishing and the defense made a stand in OT, Crouch took it upon himself to make sure Nebraska left South Bend with its No. 1 ranking. Not only did he score the game-winner, but also connected Tracey Wistrom to convert on a crucial third-and-9 two plays earlier. Oh, and he scored twice in regulation.

We'll give one to Jesse Palmer for the first quarter. He could have done more, but Spurrier didn't let him. Another one goes to freshman Rex Grossman, who threw three TDs the rest of the way after Palmer got the Gators' going early. |
