Florida gearing up for run at national championship

By Brad Edwards
Special to ESPN.com

Could the SEC hold next season's national champion? Don't bet against it. All signs point to Florida making a run, especially considering the aggressive attitude coach Steve Spurrier took in the spring.

Of course, the road is not easy in the SEC. Tennessee could be a huge hurdle for the Gators as they return one of the best defensive lines in the country and a talented and experienced QB in Casey Clausen. Add in South Carolina, Ole Miss and LSU -- all of whom could make a run at the conference title -- and this is one of the deepest and toughest conferences in the country.

ESPN.com continues its look back at the spring with a team-by-team look at the SEC. Just click on the team to find out how it fared this spring.
