Heisman -- Outstanding Player

1. Peter Warrick WR Florida State Had 9 catches for 75 yards vs. N.C. State.
2. Ron Dayne RB Wisconsin Rushed for 231 yards and 1 TD in loss to Cincinnati.
3. Jamal Lewis RB Tennessee Gained 90 yards and scored 2 TDs in loss to Florida.
4. Drew Brees QB Purdue Threw for 320 yards and 2 TDs.
5. Shaun Alexander RB Alabama Gained 173 yards rushing and scored 2 TDs; added another on a 76-yard kickoff return.
 
Maxwell -- Outstanding Player
PLAYER POSSCHOOL COMMENT
1. Peter Warrick WR Florida State Had 121 yards total offense but didn't find the end zone.
2. Jamal Lewis RB Tennessee Fought for tough yards in loss to Gators.
3. Ron Dayne RB Wisconsin Became Big Ten's all-time leading rusher.
4. Shaun Alexander RB Alabama Scored 3 TDs in each of last three games.
5. Joe Hamilton QB Georgia Tech Career-high 100 yards rushing; added 161 yards passing.

3. Rob Ritti 6-3, 285 Missouri Helped Tigers run up 375 yards on the ground vs. Western Michigan.
4. Semisi Heimuli 6-2, 303 Texas A&M Aggies offense gained 606 total yards vs. Tulsa.
5. Jason Whitaker 6-5, 300 Florida State Noles offense struggled to 378 total yards vs. Wolfpack.

1. Courtney Brown DE Penn State Leads Penn State with 9 tackles for loss.
2. Corey Moore DE Virginia Tech Idle (at Clemson, Sept. 23)
3. Alex Brown DE Florida Five sacks and an interception in his national coming-out party vs. Tennessee.
4. LaVar Arrington LB Penn State Had 5 tackles (17 on season).
5. Rob Morris LB BYU Left game with groin injury but expect to play vs. Virginia on Sept. 25.
 
O'Brien -- Outstanding Quarterback

1. Drew Brees 6-1, 212 Purdue Moved into sixth place on Purdue's career passing list with 5,125 yards.
2. Joe Hamilton 5-10, 189 Georgia Tech Accounted for 3 TDs in win over Central Florida.
3. Chris Redman 6-3, 215 Louisville Topped the 1,000-yard passing mark in just three games.
4. Chad Pennington 6-3, 220 Marshall Threw for 257 yards, 4 TDs vs. Bowling Green.
5. Tim Rattay 6-1, 210 La. Tech Threw for 368 yards, 3 TDs in upset of Alabama.
 
Biletnikoff -- Outstanding Receiver

2. Anthony Lucas 6-3, 196 Arkansas Caught two balls for 71 yards vs. La.-Monroe.

4. Mark Simoneau 6-0, 240 Kansas State Leads team with 15 tackles.
5. Brandon Short 6-3, 246 Penn State Paces Lions with 26 total tackles.
 
Bednarik -- Outstanding Defensive Player
PLAYER POSSCHOOL COMMENT
1. Corey Moore DE Virginia Tech Working on second degree as redshirt senior.
2. Na'il Diggs LB Ohio State Helped hold Ohio's offense to 229 total yards.
3. LaVar Arrington LB Penn State Has 17 tackles, 1 INT in '99.
4. Dwayne Goodrich CB Tennessee Had 5 tackles, broke up 2 passes vs. Florida.
5. Tyrone Carter SS Minnesota Leads Gophers with 22 unasssisted tackles.
