Only a superhuman effort by the two members of the Heisman Watch who were active this week could have dislodged Ron Dayne from his perch. Turns out, what we witnessed was just short of that.
While Joe Hamilton and Chad Pennington had starring roles in victories for Georgia Tech and Marshall, respectively, the race is all but officially over. Dayne will have some company at the Downtown Athletic Club, but he won't have any competition.
