Trifon Demos - Going into Saturday night's game against Utah we knew as > a team one thing was important, and that was to have fun. > >

The game started with the offense making a few early mistakes in the > first quarter, and we found ourselves down 10-0. In the second quarter > the offense started to make plays, and after a touchdown we found > ourselves down 10-6 at halftime. > >

In the second half the Cowboys put together a great half! With a > balanced attack in the air and on the ground our offense was > unstoppable. We gained more than 500 yards and scored four touchdowns > to finish the game. > >

Going down to Utah and beating the Utes was a huge win for this > team, but the best part of it all was that the Cowboys had fun on > Saturday night. > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > >

Jared Jarnagin - What a great game this was! We went down to Utah and > showed them what Cowboy football is all about. We beat them 43-29. It > was a great win for us that keeps us alive in the conference. A third > conference loss would have ended our season. > >

In the first half Utah jumped out to a 10-0 lead. We then settled > down and began to play our game. We started to create big plays and > turnovers on defense. The offense started getting into their groove and > was moving the ball. We tried a fake field goal to take the lead, but > it failed. We went into halftime down 10-6, but we were gaining > momentum. We knew we were going to get after them in the second half. > >

We came out smoking in the second half. The defense was playing > great. The offense moved the ball down and scored to give us a 13-10 > lead. We then were trying a long field goal to increase our lead, but > it was blocked and returned for a touchdown. It was now 17-13. Our > offense responded again with a touchdown to give us the lead, which we > never gave up. We then began to pour it on on both offense and > defense. The Utes had no chance to come back then. This win set up a > big showdown this weekend against BYU. > >

This week is another big game. It is another must-win for us if we > want to keep our conference and bowl hopes alive. I think that we will > have great confidence now going into this game. We also must get back > on track at home. We are going to have a good week of practice and we > will be ready to beat BYU.
