Set NCAA records with 23 straight completions and 24 over two games in the No. 4 Volunteers' 49-14 victory over South Carolina. Martin was 23-for-24, with a record completion percentage of 95.8, for 315 yards and four touchdowns.
Torry Holt
N.C. State
Had 11 catches for 225 yards and four TDs in a 46-39 victory over Clemson.
Andrew Zow
Alabama
Passed for 361 yards, sixth-best in school history, and three TDs in a 30-20 victory over Southern Mississippi.
Travis Prentice
Miami (Ohio)
Rushed 44 times for 237 yards and four TDs in a 35-21 victory over Ohio. Prentice now has a string of 601 carries without a fumble.

Was 20-of-38 for 380 yards and three TDs in the No. 18 Green Wave's 72-20 victory over Southwestern Louisiana.

STREAKING  
Losers no longer Cheyney ended a Division II-record 52-game winless streak with a 40-13 rout of Mansfield. Cheyney also snapped a 39-game losing streak, previously the longest in the nation.
RECORD-SETTERS  
The Troy Edwards touchdown parade continues Edwards caught three touchdown passes in Louisiana Tech's 56-28 victory over Nicholls State to give him an NCAA-record 46 career touchdown receptions. Pacific's Aaron Turner (1989-92) held the previous record of 43.
Wait 'til hoops season Kansas was held to just 44 yards on 48 plays -- the lowest output in school history -- in a 54-6 loss to No. 3 Kansas State. Speaking of hoops, K-State's Martin Gramatica was money from 3-point land, nailing a school-record four field goals and setting a school record with 18 points.
Mr. Consistency New Mexico State's Denvis Manns had 131 yards in a 29-26 double-overtime loss to Utah State and became the third player in NCAA history to rush for 1,000 yards in each of four seasons. Manns, who has 1,025 yards this season, joins Tony Dorsett and Amos Lawrence.
Super-frosh Georgia Southern's Adrian Peterson set a freshman NCAA Division I-AA single-season rushing record of 1,627 yards with a two-TD, 209-yard performance in a 47-26 victory over East Tennessee State.
