The upset of Nebraska wasn't the only topic to fill our mailbox, but the fans were out in full force following Texas A&M's big win Saturday. From Knoxville to Berkeley, and Columbus to College Station, they weighed in with their opinion. Here's a look at some of the responses from ESPN.com users this weekend:
What an amazing week indeed! You saw that the status-quo (Nebraska winning), can be upset; a written-off and undeserved underdog can prevail (Tennessee); the preseason favorites to play in the SEC championship game are scraping for "seconds" (Florida-LSU); while UCLA and K-State provided "uninspired" victories. You have it all this week, it will be remembered fondly.
Lowry Stiles
What a weekend, although the Aggies & Huskers games was not televised in Malaysia ... as an Aggie fan I think this is the best acheivement for Aggies football. Go Aggies
Mohd Rishalizam
The greatest game of the weekend -- perhaps the season -- was Texas A&M's upset over Nebraska. Regardless of the rankings, the television coverage, or the biased commentators, the Aggies show up to play every weekend, and the 12th man stands behind them all the way. Maybe now that everyone has seen the potential of this Texas A&M team and their fans, they will think twice about marching into "tiny" College Station and taking on the 12th man on our own turf. Give us room.

Football in the state of Texas is back! Texas A&M leads the way with a dominating victory over the Huskers. Texas clobbers longtime foe Oklahoma in Dallas. Texas Tech remains unbeaten. Baylor continues to surprise. TCU is 4-1! Put the old SWC back together, Texas football is back right where it should be.
Rob Holster
Texas A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU. Look out for the Southwest Conference!
Javier R. Coronado
Big surprise. The Nebraska running game has not returned with guns blazing. Not even after their poor performance against OSU. The players are too young and inexperienced to play at national championship form. I predict that Nebraska will finish the season losing one more game -- Kansas State, on Nov. 14.
Mark Kitchell
As a big Husker fan I can say that I am very happy the Huskers lost this weekend. Sounds crazy but it is not. Going into this weekend we did not have the focus of past years. Kind of like the ASU debacle in '96. Losses can motivate a team, propel them to greatness. Losing to A&M, which is a great team itself, can only help the Huskers learn and crave winning more than ever. I think some of the young guys had forgotten that even the Huskers can lose.
David Landis
UCLA's domination of Arizona, truly shows their talent. They seem to keep getting better with time, I think they're ready to become national champions this year!
Brad Miller
As for UCLA's makeup game with Miami, it might be in the Hurricanes' best interest to forget about it and keep one more number from entering the loss column.
Joseph Smith
Hard to overlook Tennessee's impressive wins so far. BCS could face a major controversy if OSU, UCLA and Tennessee run the table.
Mark Price
What does it take for Tennessee to get some respect? With the schedule they have played so far, could Ohio State, UCLA, or Kansas State be 5-0? I doubt it.
Matt Simmons
Why should the Vols be ranked ahead of the Bruins? Simple.
Doug Kilday
Everyone predicted that Tennessee didn't stand a chance against Georgia, even the local newspapers. The Vols proved they aren't a one-man show, but a team in the thick of national championship consideration.
Jeff Jackson
Why do you feel the Vols keep getting the Rodney Dangerfield treatment in the polls? They beat a quality Syracuse team on the road, a buzzsaw in Georgia, convincing win over Houston, and lastly, Florida in overtime. I do not believe UCLA or Kansas State has played the opponents Tennessee has, in fact, K-State has played a bunch of patsies.
Steve Flowers
Ohio State has played five games this year. Three of them (West Virginia, Missouri, and Penn State) were ranked opponents, and the Buckeyes beat 'em all by at least a 17-point margin per game. The other two games were complete shut-outs. Who else has beaten every ranked opponent by two touchdowns and shut out all the rest? That's class ball by my standards.
Scott Pike
Nobody in the nation has the weapons that Ohio State does -- See ya in Tempe!
Bradley Keller
Is it Heisman politics as usual this year? I was greatly disappointed to note the absence of Boston College's running back Mike Cloud in both your Heisman watch and that of USA Today's Jack Carey. In five games he has rushed for 862 yards and he's done it against two ranked teams: Georgia Tech, and last Thursday night against Virginia Tech, one of the top-ranked defenses in the nation. He may not be the frontrunner, but he certainly deserves to be among those in consideration. Over the years it has always seemed that the sports powers-that-be decide early on who's going to be considered for the Heisman, and then ignore other great performances because they didn't pick them out ahead of time. Wake up guys!
Denny Wolters
Ricky Williams is God.
Jacob Harrison
What must Pac-10 teams do to earn an ounce of respect from the AP? Cal went into USC with a strong 4-1 record (note: only loss was to Nebraska which scored their lowest point total in years) and end up beating the 19th-ranked Trojans. Normal logic suggests that Cal should be in at least the top 25. What gives?
Brendon Frank
Watch out UCLA. McNown isn't even close to being the best quarterback in the Pac-10 let alone the country. The best quarterback in the country resides in Eugene, Oregon, and next week he'll prove exactly how good he is against a suspect UCLA defense. Better luck next year in the NFL, Cade.
Jeffrey Walker
The lack of defense in the Pac-10 is glaring. Until UCLA wins a game against a tough defense we can only judge them by their defense, which is letting the opposition ring up some big numbers. No. 2 needs to play defense as well as offense, so far UCLA hasn't proven it can play both ways.
Steve Specht
Oregon has, if not the best, then one of the most outstanding offenses in the nation -- and maybe the best in team history. Now the real tests come. Will Oregon stand up to them? If they can get their defense on the same page as the rest of the team, they can beat UCLA and make a strong statement about whether or not they truly deserve to be one of the top 25 teams of the nation.
Chris Piekars
The Trojan dynasty is over -- the glory of USC football has seen its day. Perhaps the arrogance of USC fans and players will disappear -- it should because they have very little to brag about. Go Bears!
T.J. Wait
Wisconsin (6-0) is on their way to the Rose Bowl!
Kevin Nett
I root for the Badgers, but they are not a top 10 team. They have yet to beat a ranked team, have a below average quarterback, and are a slow, big team that could not hold up against many of the top 20 teams. However, I hope that I'm wrong!
Kevin Hamann
Who was the biggest loser in the LSU-Florida game? Anybody who watched it.
Alex Meske
While coach Tommy West and his Clemson Tigers finally managed a badly needed win on Saturday against co-cellar dweller Maryland, hopefully the university administation and the fans will not be blinded by this brief period of success. Bottom line, while the win was nice, West must still go, unless, of course, the Clemson faithful have grow accustomed to lamenting in medicroity.
Mark Byrd
Wake Forest coach Jim Caldwell has successfully changed the school's program. Unfortunately it is a change for the worse.
Jim Insco
The University of Oklahoma must release head coach John Blake. He has routinely displayed the fact that he does not understand football. Motivation, execution, intelligence; all words he does not understand. Bring in Sonny Lubick, Tommy Tuberville, Lou Holtz, anyone! OU has too much tradition to have 3 straight losing seasons!
Robert Miles
Let's talk about a defense dominating not only a game but a season. Virginia Tech's defense has been outstanding this year. While the offense has sputtered under three different quarterbacks, the defense has carried the Hokies to a 5-0 start and the No. 10 ranking.
Steve Schmidt
I wasn't satisfied with West Virginia's 37-7 victory over Temple on Saturday. I quess Don Nehlen fears injury and perhaps he has good reason. But sometimes you just have to suck it up and stomp your opponent into the ground.
Zack Meredith
N.C. State is driving me insane with this rollercoaster they are on. Although it doesn't seem like they can win anything but the huge games, look for them at bowl time because the offense is one of the nation's best when it is on.
Austin Adams
Best linebacker duo in the country: Penn State's Brandon Short and LaVar Arrington. These two giants lead one the best PSU defenses since the mid 1980s, when defenses won championships. If PSU's offense can improve, there's no telling what will happen at the end of the season. It just depends on who else will lose by then. Thanks, Texas A&M, you made our job a lot easier!
Matt Matis
All I have to say is that Louisiana Tech's Tim Rattay and Troy Edwards are the best 1-2 punch in college football. They are playing against top notch competition this year, and both of them have numbers through seven games that any player in the country would love to have during a complete season. Do you see any of them on any kind of awards ballots? I guess their numbers will speak for them.
Bramdon Daigle
How about Drake vs. Dayton? A great college football game and a great rivalry. I'll take the Pioneer League over the Big 12 anyday.
Bill Willers
All of you Notre Dame bashers out there need to finally realize that the Michigan State game was a fluke. The Irish proved this weekend in Arizona that they are for real and will be in the Bowl Championship Series!
Eric Reichle
What will it take for an undefeated team to get into the Top 25? Do the voters even know where Marshall University is? Here is a team who is currently 6-0, 4-0 in conference play and has one of the most proficient quarterbacks in the nation in junior Chad Pennington. It's about time the voters look elsewhere than the major conferences for their top teams.
