Joseph, McDougle and Romberg among 12 finalists

HOUSTON -- Three players from No. 1 ranked Miami are among the 12 finalists for the Lombardi Award given annually to the top college lineman.

Defensive tackle William Joseph, defensive end Jerome McDougle and center Brett Romberg all are finalists.

Others nominated are linebacker Boss Bailey and offensive tackle Jon Stinchcomb of Georgia; center Jeff Faine, Notre Dame; defensive tackle Tommie Harris, Oklahoma; linebacker E.J. Henderson, Maryland, linebacker Bradie James, Louisiana State; defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy, Penn State; defensive end Cory Redding, Texas and defensive end Terrell Suggs, Arizona State.

Four finalists will be selected from the group. The winner will be announced Dec. 11 at a banquet on the field of Reliant Stadium, home of the NFL Houston Texans.
