The top two teams remained unchanged while Florida, Texas A&M and Ohio State were the big losers in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll released Sunday.

Wisconsin's Ben Herbert (42) and Ross Kolodziej celebrate a sack of Ohio State quarterback Steve Bellisari.
Florida State (5-0), which cruised past winless Duke 51-23, captured 53 of a possible 59 first-place votes, one more than last week. With 1,409 points, the Seminoles have a 60-point advantage over Penn State (5-0), which had the week off. The Nittany Lions received the other six first-place votes.

Florida (4-1) tumbled from third to seventh after having its 30-game home winning streak snapped in a 40-39 overtime loss to Alabama. Texas A&M (3-1) plummeted from sixth to 12th following a 21-19 loss at Texas Tech.

A humiliating 42-17 home loss to Wisconsin cost Ohio State 10 spots as it tumbled from ninth to 19th. The Buckeyes (3-2) surrendered 42 unanswered points and suffered their worst home loss since 1967.

Michigan (5-0), Nebraska (5-0) and Virginia Tech (4-0) remained unbeaten with easy wins and complete the first five.

Tennessee (3-1) jumped two spots to sixth while Georgia Tech (3-1), 12th last week, entered the top 10 at No. 8.

No. 9 Georgia (4-0) and No. 10 Kansas State (4-0) also gained in the poll, climbing from 11th and 13th, respectively.

Michigan State, off to its first 5-0 since 1966, starts the second 10, moving up from No. 14, followed by Texas A&M, Mississippi State (5-0), Alabama (4-1) and Marshall (5-0) and Purdue (4-1), who tied for 15th.

Syracuse (4-1) inched forward two slots to 17th while East Carolina gained three spots, debuting in the top 20 at No. 18. Wisconsin's big victory catapulted the Badgers (3-2) back into the poll at No. 20. The Badgers were ranked 10th in the preseason but dropped out after consecutive losses to Cincinnati at Michigan.

Miami (2-2), Southern California (3-1), Texas (4-2), Brigham Young (3-1) and Mississippi (4-1) comprise the final five.
