ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- LaDainian Tomlinson is getting a lot of help for streaking TCU.

TCU running back LaDainian Tomlinson carried 33 times for 121 yards and broke the Horned Frogs career rushing record.

Tomlinson ran for 121 yards -- 65 below his season average -- and a touchdown as No. 16 TCU (No. 18 ESPN/USA Today; No. 16 AP) beat Navy 24-0 on Saturday to extend its winning streak to nine games.

"I'm not a selfish guy, so it isn't frustrating to me," Tomlinson said. "We're 4-0 now, that's what's important. You have to play as a team, and that's what we did today. I'm playing to win games, not playing to win the Heisman."

Casey Printers was 14-of-17 for 188 yards and two touchdowns for the Horned Frogs. Navy fell to 0-4.

"Last year we couldn't get it done with the pass, but that's not the case this year. I'm so happy about that," Tomlinson said.

Tomlinson became TCU's career rushing leader, increasing his total to 3,784 yards to move past Tony Jeffery (1984-87). Tomlinson has rushed for 679 yards this season.

"It seemed like every time I cut back there was someone there to hit me. They did a great job of getting people around me," Tomlinson said. "But at some point you have to think about winning the game, not stopping one guy."

TCU put together touchdown drives of 81, 85 and 67 yards, keyed by Printers' passing. The 81-yard march in the second quarter ended with Matt Schobel's 9-yard catch. Schobel also had a 13-yarder in the drive, and Printers hit Cedric James for 27 yards.

Tomlinson, who had only 13 yards in the first touchdown drive, scored the second TD on a 4-yard run. He ran for 24 yards, while Printers completed four passes for 45 yards, in the 85-yard march.

Fullback George Layne, who had a 20-yard burst in the first scoring drive, added a 27-yard run on the final play of the third quarter. That drive finished with a 23-yard pass from Printers to Layne that made it 24-0 with 14:12 remaining.

Layne finished with 78 yards on seven carries.

Navy's longest drive took the Midshipmen to the TCU 13. But a penalty moved them back 5 yards, and they ended up missing a field goal in the closing seconds of the first half.

The Midshipmen were held to 120 yards total offense, and crossed midfield only twice. TCU has not allowed a touchdown in its last eight quarters, while Navy has been blanked for six periods.
