DENTON, Texas (AP) _ Demario Brown broke Utah State's single-season rushing record with 159 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Aggies to a 34-7 win over North Texas Saturday.

Brown finished with 1,536 yards on the season, breaking Louie Giammona's 1974 school record by two yards. He also passed Abu Wilson (3,933) as the Aggies' all-time leading rusher and became just the third Big West player to finish with 4,000 career yards. Brown had 4,053 yards in his career.

Utah State (4-7, 3-3 Big West) took its first drive of the third quarter 43 yards in 1:27 for a 4-yard touchdown run by Brown. Brown added a 1-yard dive up the middle with 2:57 left in the third for a 31-7 Aggies lead.

Brad Bohn's 52-yard field goal in the first quarter accounted for the only points of the first half by the Utah State offense, but the Aggies got touchdowns on defense and special teams for a 17-7 lead.

Blake Eagal put the Aggies up 10-0 with 3:04 left in the first quarter, returning a blocked punt by Jamar Glasper for a 17-yard touchdown. Cade Smith scored with 3:37 left in the second when he scooped up a Spencer Stack fumble and returned it 49 yards. Stack, who replaced starter Richard Bridges midway through the second quarter, lost the ball when he was sacked by Vaea Fiefia.

North Texas (2-9, 1-5) had 130 total yards in the first half, including just 11 rushing, but scored on a 63-yard pass from Stack to Broderick McGrew with two minutes left. The Mean Green finished with 218 total yards, including 47 on the ground.

Ja'Quay Wilburn had 89 yards on 15 carries yards to finish the season with 1,018 yards, becoming the first North Texas running back in six years and the fifth in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards. Terrance Brown last did it in 1993.
