RENO, Nev. (AP) _ Demario Brown ran for 253 yards and scored his fourth touchdown of the game with one minute remaining after a pair of big gains on trick plays to help Utah State beat Nevada 37-35 Saturday and snap a four-game losing streak in the Big West Conference.

Brown, whose rushing total is the second most in school history, set up the game-winning score with a 43-yard halfback pass to Demario Franklin at Nevada's 11.

Brown ran 52 yards on a Statue of Liberty play to set up an earlier fourth-quarter score. Linebacker Donald Dicko intercepted Nevada quarterback David Neill's pass at Utah State's 15-year line with 26 seconds left to secure the win.

The come-from-behind victory overshadowed a record-setting performance by Nevada receiver Trevor Insley, who became the first NCAA receiver to reach the 2,000-yard mark in a single season, and ruined the farewell of coach Jeff Tisdel, who announced his resignation earlier this week.

Insley caught 14 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns. The senior who earlier this year broke the NCAA's career receiving yards record set the NCAA single season record with 2,060 receiving yards and broke former teammate Geoff Noisy's NCAA Division I record for career receptions with 298.

Jeff Crosbie passed for 98 yards and ran for 77 yards and a touchdown for Utah State (3-7, 2-3 Big West).

Nevada (3-8, 2-4) had gone ahead 35-31 when Insley made a leaping, over-the-shoulder catch for a 40-yard touchdown from Neill with 4:14 left in the game.
