TROY, Ala. (AP) _ Brock Nutter passed for 185 yards and two touchdowns to lead Troy State in a 35-16 victory over Jacksonville State Saturday. The Trojans (10-1, 6-1 Southland Football League) scored four touchdowns in the first half to put the game out of reach, including Nutter's 52-yard pass to Lenny Lucas and Mareno Philyaw's 62-yard touchdown run. The only offense Jacksonville State (2-9, 1-6) managed in the first half was a 20-yard field goal by Brad Hopkins. The Gamecocks showed more life in the second half, as Reggie Stancil hit Lorenzo Banks with touchdown passes of 80 and 9 yards. Stancil finished 10 of 33 passing for 237 yards. Nutter completed 11 of 19 passes. Neither quarterback was intercepted. Banks caught five passes for 192 yards. The Trojans rolled up 230 yards on the ground, compared to 97 for Jacksonville State.
